China International Optoelectronics Expo
Our company will participate in China International Opto-electronics Expo from September 16 to 18, 2021. China International Opto-electronics Expo is an influential comprehensive exposition of the global opto-electronics industry. Optical lens cold processing

The main processes of optical cold processing are: pressing, cutting, milling, fine grinding, polishing, edge grinding, joint, coating and so on.
The final products of the downstream industry include digital cameras, camera phones, scanners, projectors, rear projection televisions, DVD players, bar code readers and other optical instruments and photoelectric digital products. Optical cold processing mainly processes optical lenses for its downstream products, which are divided into glass and plastic in terms of materials. Glass lenses are divided into plane mirrors and lenses. Plane mirrors include flat glass and prism, while lens includes spherical mirrors and aspherical mirrors. At present, the aspherical mirror processing of domestic enterprises is still in its infancy, and the glass spherical mirror is still the mainstream product.
Basic processing flow of optical lens
The first: milling, is to remove the surface of the lens uneven bubbles and impurities,(about 0.05-0.08) play a molding role.
The second is the fine grinding process, is to mill out the lens to eliminate its damage layer, fixed R value.
The third step is the polishing process, which is to polish the finely ground lens in one time. This process is mainly to make the appearance better.

The fifth way is edge grinding, also known as coring, is to grind the original lens diameter to the specified outer diameter.
The sixth is the coating, is the need to coating the lens surface with a layer or multiple layers of colored film or other film
The seventh way is to paint ink, is to need the lens to prevent reflection on its outer yuan coated with a layer of black ink.
The eighth way is glue, is to have 2 R value opposite size and outer diameter of the same material lens with glue.

Glass lens polishing process

1. Polishing powder
1.1 Requirements for polishing powder
A. Granularity should be uniform, hardness should be slightly harder than polishing materials;
B. Polishing powder should be pure and free from impurities that may cause scratches;
C. It should have certain lattice form and defect, and have appropriate self-sharpness;
D. It should have good dispersibility and adsorption;
E. Good chemical stability, will not corrode the workpiece.
1.2 Types and properties of polishing powder
Common polishing powder has cerium oxide (CeO2) and iron oxide (FeO3).
A. Cerium oxide polishing powder particles are polygonal with obvious edges and angles, with an average diameter of about 2 microns, Mohs hardness of 7 ~ 8 and specific gravity of about 7.3. Due to the manufacturing process and the different content of cerium oxide, cerium oxide polishing powder has white (content of 98% or more), light yellow, brown yellow and so on.
B. Iron oxide polishing powder, commonly known as red powder, is spherical, particle size is about 0.5 ~ 1 micron, Mohler hardness is 4 ~ 7, specific gravity is about 5.2. The colors range from yellowish red to deep red.
To sum up, cerium oxide has a higher polishing efficiency than red powder, but red powder is better for parts requiring high surface finish.

3. Common test instruments
